| Description: | The MLB Test Engineer will be responsible for design, development and implementation of cost-effective methods of testing and troubleshooting activities related to the repair services of portable computer main logic boards (MLB).
|
| Duties: | - Able to interface across all engineering disciplines.
- Responsible for developing/executing test plans and procedures.
- Develops, evaluates, recommends and implements automated test tools and strategies.
- Develop and publish quality reports used in continuous improvement.
- Compiles data and defines changes required in testing equipment, test procedures, manufacturing processes or new testing requirements.
- Responsible for maintaining the test server that supports repair lines.
- Attend regular scheduled meetings.
- Develops detailed project schedules.
- Failure Analysis and documentation.
- Software Development Process Team member.
- Develop test programs and scripts for new platforms-motherboard only
- Obtain testing peripherals and accessories
- Install test image programs and batch files on the test HDD supplied to repair lines.
- Test process time study and process improvements.
- Debug & validate customer supplied & CTS test programs.
- Interface with customer on test program bugs/errors
- Set-up the final test program with the floor server
- Root cause and correct issues discovered during production validation
- Train operators on the test process and possible issues
- BIOS Re-flashing
- Daily interface with customer engineering for any test related issues |
| Qualifications: | - Bachelor's degree in Electronic/Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience and a minimum of 3 years related experience in this field
- May include highly experienced individuals performing entry-level equivalent work who have degrees in an unrelated field.
- C, C++, C# experience is a must.
- Must have working knowledge of how to use standard test equipment such as digital multimeters and oscilloscopes, and be able to read electrical schematics.
- Good understanding of lean manufacturing and 6Sigma.
- Good communication skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
