| Description: | Overview:
The SW Test Technician is primarily responsible for:
1. Performance of testing of small to large scale changes to existing and new applications/systems.
2. Test and verification of expected behavior between development and production environments
3. Explanation of issues and associated root cause

| Duties: | Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Develop, document, communicate, and/or implement test plans as needed for new features
Review/input to use cases based on customer environments
Lead the test effort throughout the entire development cycle, own and drive issues to completion
Documentation of test results and regression efforts; ensure replication of issues found
Research and understand technical issues
Provide accurate and timely status reports, communicate effectively with key stakeholders
Generate metrics based upon test results
Work with development teams and cross-functional teams, to ensure product meets or exceeds company goals

| Qualifications: | Position Requirements:
Basic knowledge of SW development practices
General understanding of basic business flows
Novice to intermediate knowledge of query writing languages (SQL)
Strong computer literacy and/or the comfort, ability and desire to advance technically
Demonstrated talent for tackling problems from identification through resolution
Proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated ability to generate reports using raw data
Demonstrated ability to manage and organize multiple activities in a dynamic, fast-paced, high stress environment with aggressive timelines
Demonstrated ability to integrate and apply past experience toward troubleshooting test plans/issues
Bachelors degree or 4 years relevant work experience
Proficiency of all Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint as well as proficiency with Visio
Understanding of computer component repair terminology, a plus
